APPLICATION AREAS

Can be applied as a decorative coating on mineral and drywall surfaces of interior and exterior spaces where decorative coating is desired. Suitable for vertical application.

Can be preferred for stores, shopping malls, showrooms, offices, restaurants, cafes, hotels, and residences to achieve a decorative appearance.

APPLICATION METHOD

Surface Preparation:

The surface to be applied should be cleaned from all dust, loose layers, dirt, grease, etc. The surface must be clean, smooth, and solid.

If there are outdoor panels (Boardex etc.), the panel surfaces should be primed with PERLIGHT Primer, and 24 hours after priming, flexible joint tape should be applied to panel joints.

If there are loose, blistered, cracked grounds, the cracks should be filled and the surface repaired with cement-based BETONITE MORTAR TECH – F (fine) or BETONITE MORTAR TECH – T (thick) Repair Mortar.

The surface should definitely be moistened before application, and saturated with water on very hot and windy days.

Application:

16 kg BETONITE MONS should be mixed with approximately 12 – 13 liters of clean water using a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. The mortar should rest for 5 – 6 minutes and then be mixed again. The first coat should be applied evenly on the surface with a stainless steel trowel with a minimum thickness of 2 – 3 cm. The first coat should dry for 5 – 6 hours before the second coat is applied.

In the second coat, the desired architectural texture pattern should be created on the entire surface with BETONITE MONS.

If desired, after the surface dries, effect paint can be applied in the desired color. For paint application, a suitable product should be selected for the surface, and the surface can be painted in the desired color using the PERLIGHT Coloring System. If the surface is exterior, PERLIGHT Exterior Topcoat Paints should be used; if interior, PERLIGHT Interior Topcoat Paints or PERLIGHT Acrylic-Based Decorative Paints can be applied. Suitable decorative tools should be used to create desired patterns with these paints.

If paint is applied, 24 hours after painting the surface, if left unpainted in its natural appearance, after the mineral surface dries, two coats of BETONITE PROCOAT Transparent Protective Coating Material should be applied undiluted.

PRECAUTIONS:

The recommended water ratios and resting times must be strictly followed when preparing the mortar.

Application under direct sunlight should be avoided.

Hardened materials should not be added to freshly prepared mortar.

Application should not be performed below +5°C or above +35°C.

Application should not be done on frozen, thawing, or surfaces with frost risk within 24 hours.
